Review: More like Day of the Un-dead. I'm amazed at the sheer number of zombie-esque flicks George A. Romero is responsible for. Having never seen the original, I'm reviewing this as a standalone flick. This was entertaining, popcorn fodder best left to watch and laugh at with a group of friends. I watched it alone. I found myself yelling sarcastic remarks at the screen for at least the first half and laughing at things I'm not sure were intended to be funny. The last half improved with the victims fighting the good fight. This is a group of people I'd want with me in a viral zombie-causing epidemic. I like the military chick as the heroin, because in a crisis who's better than a member of our armed forces. Thank God I'm married to one. The actors did an amiable job except for Cannon. I appreciate his improv skills, but found his character to be annoying while the actor pulled some strange facial expressions. Not scary but definitely gory good fun for a one shot (to the head) watch. Better options: The Crazies (featuring some friends of mine as extras) & Dawn of the Dead (2005).

Fun Facts: Although the film's plot shares little with the original, many of the scenes and situations from the original are duplicated. The Radio Station is on Elm Street. This is a reference to A Nightmare on Elm Street(1984). Despite the title most of the movie takes place at night.
