The Chaos Experiment (The Steam Experiment)

Plot:A former university professor holds six people hostage in a Turkish steambath in order to prove his theory on the effects on humans under the pressures of global warming.

Starring:Val Kilmer (MacGruber & the Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans), Emmy winner Armand Assante (Gotti (TV) & "Human Target"), Oscar nominee Eric Roberts (Runaway Train & "The Young and the Restless"), Soap Opera Digest award winner Patrick Muldoon ("Days of Our Lives" & The 7 Adventures of Sinbad), Cordelia Reynolds ("Army Wives").

Written by: Robert Malkani (Day Zero)

Directed by: Philippe Martinez (Wake of Death)

Review: Plotline foggy with a good chance of overacting. I see where this movie was going, and on paper I'm sure it looked great. This is a case of a director horribly mishandling a script. He cast one great actor Kilmer, two decent actors (Roberts & Reynolds) and the rest horrid. The camera looked as if it was in the steam room with them, and the characters were going to knock into it at any moment. You know they have camera equipment for inclement weather and conditions. Then he gave false clues the whole movie so the ending would be a twist, but those clues made the ending seem so out of left field. I love being thrown-off and surprised, but do it in a way that makes sense when I look back on it. Dizzying, nonsensical, and a waste of my time. Kilmer you are better than this. To the screenwriter: Take your scripts to an intelligent director. Better options: Mindhunters and the Saw series.
